Study for the Guy's College Diploma in Implant Dentistry over two years

The diploma in implant dentistry from Guy's College is a modular programme of surgical, prosthodontic and theoretical teaching and combines the Implant Year Course, the Advanced Implant Year Course and extensive clinical teaching. Participants in the Diploma course will aim to gain an enviable level of clinical competence in practical implant dentistry. This course attaches a higher level of importance to practical clinical teaching and surgical skills than many other courses.

Staged Entry to the Diploma

Candidates who have completed the Guy's College Implant Year Course, or Advanced Implant Year Course are eligable to convert to the Diploma.

Course Fees

The full cost of the Gy's College Diploma in Implant Dentistry is £11,500 + VAT (£13,800 including VAT). Candidiates who have previously completed the Implant Year Course or the Advanced Implant Year Course with Guy's College are eligable to enrol on subsequent components of the diploma course, subject to the college's rules.

Course Content

The Diploma in Implant Dentistry covers surgical and restorative implant dentistry in great depth. Implant case selection and planning, implant sugery, bone grafting, sinus grafting, onlay-block grafting, guided surgery, X-guide, CT scans, full mouth implant restoration, All-on-4 protocols, All-on-many protocols, immediate loading, CAD-CAM, and digital implant planning. The level of clinical teaching is extensive. The after-course support included in the course is highly valued by the Alumni.

Award of the Guy's College Diploma and Quality Assurance

The Guy's College Diploma in Implant Dentistry is awarded by Guy's College Ltd and is quality assured by Guy's College Ltd. The diploma will only be awarded to cnadidates who have shown a very high level of clinical competance in implant dentistry. The diploma is a non-regulated qualification and does not provide CAT points and is non transferrable to other institutions such as universities.
