Course Content
The implant year course is a one year implant training course taught by highly experienced implant dentist David Guy. The course is designed to train dentists with little or no prior experience of implant dentistry to a high standard, covering implant planning, surgery, restoration, and basic bone grafting. The course consists of lectures, hands on and live patient experience. UK based dentists registered with the GDC are also able to treat their own patients on the course.
The training centres located in Cardiff and Bristol teach using the Nobel Biocare dental implant systems.
A key feature of this course is the extensive amount of practical implant teaching. UK based dentists are encouraged to treat up to ten implant cases on the course. Two implant cases can be provided by the training course centres, and further experience can be gained by treating your own practice patients at the training centres.
The implant year course can also forms the foundation stage of the Guy's College Diploma in Implant Dentistry. Allowing you to develop your implant career pathway with the subsequent stage of the Advanced Implant Course.
Course Fees
The cost of the Implant Year Course is £5000 + Vat. Fees are payable by monthly instalment. The course is limited to a maximum of 6 participants.
